Drop 012 - Resin Applique for Furniture & Crafts is a traditional acanthus-style drop appliqué – the kind of elegant detail you’d expect to see on vintage wardrobes and old European armoires. Tall and graceful, it’s perfect for adding vertical interest to blanket boxes, the sides of drawers, wardrobe doors or either side of a mirror or panel.

Use a single drop as a feature on the front of a cabinet, a pair to flank a drawer knob, or run several in a row down the side of a tallboy to create the look of carved furniture without the fuss.

Styling Tips:

• For a French country feel, paint your piece in a soft neutral like a warm grey or stone tone, then layer Old White over the drop and gently sand the edges so it looks like worn carved timber.
• Create a Gustavian-inspired look by painting the whole piece in a muted blue or grey, then applying a pale wash (lots of water, a little paint) over the drop so the colour settles into the grooves.
• Love a touch of metal? Once painted and waxed, tap a tiny amount of Copper or Silver Gilding Wax just onto the raised tips of the leaves to echo your hardware and catch the light.
• Try using a drop tucked just under the lip of a dresser or set of drawers on either side as mini decorative “corbels” – it’s an easy way to make a modern piece feel like a one-off antique find.
