Drop 016 - Resin Applique for Furniture & Crafts is a classic acanthus drop with a slightly bolder, more compact shape – perfect when you want a stronger decorative accent. It works beautifully on blanket boxes, chests of drawers, the ends of console tables or tucked under the edge of a shelf or mantel as a decorative corbel.

Use Drop 016 - Resin Applique for Furniture & Crafts as a single drop as a feature on the front of a cabinet, a pair to frame a central appliqué, or line several up under the lip of a dresser or sideboard to give a modern piece that “old world” furniture-maker feel.

Styling Tips:

• For a vintage sideboard look, paint your piece in a deep, moody colour, then paint the drops in the same shade and finish everything with Dark Wax so the curves look like carved timber.
• On a lighter piece, try a tone-on-tone effect: paint the furniture in a soft neutral, then paint the drops a shade lighter and gently sand the high points so they blend in but still catch the eye.
• Want a hint of glamour? Once your paint and wax are dry, tap a little Copper or Silver Gilding Wax just along the very edges of the leaves so they shimmer softly when the light hits.
• These drops look gorgeous used in a row beneath the top of a dresser or console, acting as small decorative “supports” – an easy way to turn a plain boxy piece into something that feels bespoke.
