Blushing Beauty: Annie Sloan's Jaipur Pink & Rococo Whtie in Bloom

This little cabinet had lovely bones, but I wanted to give it softness, warmth, and a touch of romance. Jaipur Pink was the perfect base—earthy, rosy, and full of character.

 The Process:

This little cabinet had been sitting in my workshop for weeks—I wasn’t quite sure what direction to take. But as soon as Jaipur Pink arrived, I knew I wanted to create something soft, romantic, and full of charm.

I used the IOD Roses Decor Mould with Easy Cast resin to create a beautiful floral relief detail, securing each piece with Gorilla Glue. It took a bit of playing around to find the perfect fit and arrangement, but once they were in place, the design felt just right.

With the moulds set, I painted the entire piece in Jaipur Pink. While going through my knobs, I found the Henrietta rose knob—and it was the perfect match. Inspired by its soft glaze, I added a Rococo White wash to the cabinet, echoing the finish and adding gentle contrast.

To seal and protect the finish, I applied Annie Sloan Clear Wax for a soft, buttery feel. It brought out the depth in the colour and gave the piece a subtle, tactile sheen.\

I love this look—calm, expressive, and not too sugar-sweet. Jaipur Pink pairs beautifully with warm neutrals like Country Grey and Canvas, making it a versatile choice for styling. I finished the piece with an old pot and dried blooms in pinks and corals to bring out the palette and mood.

Styling Notes:

I styled it with dried florals, natural textures, and soft light to echo the palette. It would sit beautifully in a hallway, bedroom, or reading nook—anywhere that needs a little charm and calm.

 Final Thoughts:
