Available in Clear, Dark, Black, and White, each wax offers its own unique styling effect — perfect for transforming furniture and interiors.

What You'll Need
- Annie Sloan Chalk Paint® Wax (Clear, Dark, Black, or White)
- Annie Sloan Wax Brush or a lint-free cloth
- Chalk Paint®-finished surface, fully dry
- Clean cloth for removing excess and buffing
- Optional: Sandpaper or steel wool (for distressing)

Lets Get Started
Step 1: Apply Wax
Use a Wax Brush or cloth to apply a thin, even coat of wax over your dry Chalk Paint® surface. Work in manageable sections for control.
Step 2: Wipe Back Excess
Immediately remove any excess wax with a clean lint-free cloth, using a circular motion for a smooth, even finish.
Step 3: Add Coloured Wax (Optional)
To create age, depth, or highlights, apply Dark, Black, or White Wax after the Clear Wax. Focus on carvings, textures, and edges.
Step 4: Buff (Optional)
Leave the wax to absorb, then gently buff with a clean cloth for a light sheen.
Step 5: Allow to Cure
Wax will be touch-dry within hours but takes 5–21 days to fully cure. Avoid heavy use during this time.

Claire’s Tips & Creative Hacks
- Always apply Clear Wax first before layering with coloured waxes — it gives you more control.
- Use White Wax to soften strong colours like Athenian Black or Capri Pink.
- Apply Dark or Black Wax to brush textures and corners for a vintage, aged look.
- Use sparingly — a little wax goes a long way.
- For a subtle sheen, buff the next day once the wax has set.
