Styling Tips:

For a classic, romantic look, paint your furniture in a soft shade like Old White, Paris Grey or Svenska Blue, then lightly dry-brush a paler colour over the raised areas of the corners.

Prefer something more dramatic? Try rich tones such as Aubusson Blue or Emperor’s Silk and gently highlight the scrolls with Annie Sloan Gilding Wax in copper, silver or gold. For a vintage, timeworn feel, finish with a little dark or black wax just in the recesses to bring out the depth of the carving.
