Drop 018 - Resin Applique for Furniture & Crafts is the largest drop in our collection – a tall, elegant statement piece that instantly gives furniture that “grand old house” feel. With its carved-style detail and classic proportions, it’s perfect for flanking faux fireplaces, tall cabinets, bookcases, blanket boxes or the sides of a chest of drawers.

Use a pair either side of a panel or door to create the look of decorative columns or let a single drop be the star of a narrow feature panel. It’s a brilliant way to turn a simple boxy piece into something that feels architectural and bespoke.

Styling Tips:

• Recreate the look in your photo: paint the whole piece in a soft neutral, then lightly dry-brush Old White across the raised detail so it looks like time-worn, carved plaster.
• For a French chateau vibe, use a warm grey or stone tone on the furniture, keep the drops just a touch lighter, and finish with Dark Wax to sink into the crevices and give that soft, aged shadowing.
• Love a hint of metal? Once everything is painted and waxed, tap a little Copper or Silver Gilding Wax just along the highest points so they catch the light and echo any metal hardware in the room.
• Try using a pair of drops either side of a wreath or centre appliqué on a tall panel (like your example piece) to build a complete, layered focal point.
