Styling Tips:

For a romantic, French-inspired look, paint your piece in soft shades like Old White, Paris Grey or Svenska Blue, then gently dry-brush a lighter colour over the raised petals and leaves to bring out the detail.

For something more dramatic, try deeper tones such as Aubusson Blue or Athenian Black and add a whisper of Annie Sloan Gilding Wax in silver or copper on the highest points. You can also use dark or black wax just in the recesses to create a richly aged, antique finish that really shows off the floral carving.
